Love, Loss, and Heartbreak
Saying hello and goodbye simultaneously is a traumatic and overwhelming experience often leaving parents with a wide range of emotions and questions.
In my private practice I address traumatic death. Those who have experienced termination and still birth. These losses are very different in nature and require specific and personal care.
Very often couples need joint and individual support. Everyone copes with loss in different ways and the healing of this loss is not a linear process. Nor is it the same for everyone. Helping couples to stay connected through these painful and tragic times can be essential despite the differences in grieving.
Feelings of disbelief, pain, sadness, isolation, obsessing, blame, confusion, and reluctance to say goodbye are just of few examples of the many thoughts and feelings that typically occur.
This journey is a long one and deserves compassion from an experienced provider.
